A 2019 "Chief Information Officer of The Year" Finalist with 30+ years’ experience building IT strategies as a CIO or "Big 4" Partner with significant contributions to achieving business objectives.
Dan brings diversity to organizations from deep knowledge within multiple Industries and managing people across generations and cultures. Dan’s proven experience in integrated energy, electric power, pipeline construction, manufacturing, healthcare, transportation, consumer products, consulting and retail industries has enabled companies to achieve key strategic objectives.
At PLH Group, Dan drove greenfield deployment of application and technology across the enterprise, whereas at a consumer products company, he helped transform the global product launch processes to provide a world class speed to market. At a telecommunications company, he transformed the internet business from experiencing a downward trend to doubling in revenue and profit, within twelve months. At Diamond Shamrock, he enabled international office expansion to progress from plan to realization in less than ninety (90) days.
His hands-on technology experiences at IBM provided a technical foundation that serves Fortune 100 organizations, private equity portfolio companies, and startups. Dan has led many engagements in ERP implementations/integration, application development, due diligence, cybersecurity, activities of a Chief Data Officer, and infrastructure transformation over a fifteen year consulting career.
Recently, Dan has been honored by the Digital/Technology community with nominations for "CIO of The Year" for three (3) consecutive years.
Dan was a distinguished visiting lecturer at Baylor University from 1998 to 2000, a visiting judge for the UT McCombs School of Business’ Business Plan Competition from 1998 to 2000, and a visiting lecturer at Oklahoma University from 2006 to 2012.
Dan received a B.S. in business with concentration in math and computer science from Amber University and an Executive M.B.A from Harvard. He is a Six Sigma certified practitioner enabling process transformation.
